Health is everything
"Health is everything."
What do I mean by that?
Two things.
First: when we don't feel well in mind or body, nothing else matters; when we do, everything is even better. Most of us know this instinctively or through experience.
My second meaning is that good health is multi-faceted--from food to art, from physical activity to quietly absorbing the natural environment, from community engagement to the streets you stroll and transportation you take--healthy living encompasses every facet of life.
And now, i addition to our personal health, we face environmental and civilizational challenges--even, possibly, collapse . . . whatever that means.
As the author of over 25 books on health and wellness, city lover, public health professional, certified fitness specialist, world traveller, and flamenco dance student, there isn't much I haven't experienced. And I've learned--sometimes the fun way and sometimes the hard way--that health really is everything. In the books I've written and edited, and in the classes I teach, I invite you to come along with me and discover how.
